What is Double Math? Explained!

double math

Double Math mean two Maths like Applied Math and Pure Math, you can see below about these Maths

Applied Mathematics

Applied Mathematics is actually a branch of Double Math that involves applying mathematics to problems that arise in various areas, such as science, engineering, or other diverse areas, or the development of new or improved methods to meet the challenges of new problems.

We view applied math as the application of mathematics to real-world problems with the dual goal of explaining observed phenomena and predicting new, as yet unobserved, phenomena. Therefore, the emphasis is on mathematics, for example, the development of new methods to meet the challenges of new problems and the real world.

The problems come from various applications, such as physical and biological sciences, engineering, and social sciences. Their solutions require knowledge of various branches of mathematics, such as analysis, differential equations, and stochastics, utilizing analytical and numerical methods. Our faculty members and students often interact directly with experimentalists to see their research results come to life.

Mathematical careers in business, industries, and government rarely carry a simple title of “mathematician. The very idea of a career in mathematics has evolved and diversified and is often coupled with a specialty or area of research interest. Mathematics plays an important role in the bottom line of industrial organizations and helps companies perform better in today’s data-driven marketplace.

A career in applied mathematics is more than just crunching numbers. It’s being able to use mathematics to solve real-life problems and make an impact in the world. Our careers brochure highlights various career titles that fall under applied mathematics, where you can make your impact, and much more, including profiles of professional mathematicians and computational scientists. Pure Mathematics

Mathematics is also actually a branch of Double Math. Mathematics is both an art and a science, and pure mathematics lies at its heart. Pure mathematics explores the boundary of mathematics and pure reason. It has been described as “that part of mathematical activity that is done without explicit or immediate consideration of the direct application,” although what is “pure” in one era often becomes applied later. Finance and cryptography are current examples of areas in which pure mathematics is applied in significant ways.

In pure mathematics, people solve problems that are intrinsically interesting, regardless of their practical application.  You have probably experienced the deep satisfaction that comes from solving a challenging problem or the excitement of the moment.  Pure mathematicians are motivated by a sense of exploration and discovery as if we are charting new territory in a vast landscape.  The tools we use to solve problems in pure mathematics include deep conceptual understanding, careful reasoning, and creativity.
